Cordicity is a Swedish deep-tech and medtech company founded as a spin-off from Linköping University and CMIV (Centre for Medical Image Science and Visualization). The company develops advanced analysis tools for heart care with the goal of enabling more personalized and preventive treatment decisions.

By combining medical image analysis, scientific calculations, and modern software development, Cordicity has developed a platform that analyzes blood flow in the heart based on CT images. The technology helps doctors make more accurate risk assessments and make better treatment decisions for patients with cardiovascular diseases.

Your responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Cordicity, you will become part of a small but growing team where you work closely with the company's founders, researchers, and other engineers. The role suits you if you want to help build something from the ground up and are attracted by the opportunity to have significant influence over both technology, product, and working methods.

We are a company in an early growth phase and are therefore looking for someone with entrepreneurial drive, a high level of ambition, and a willingness to take great responsibility. For the right person, there is an opportunity to combine market-based compensation with a long-term ownership perspective.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• Further develop and productize our existing software platform
• Develop and own backend services and API for data flows, result management, user management, and access control
• Build robust and scalable backend solutions and calculation pipelines
• Work with analysis and processing of medical images
• Develop integration solutions against healthcare system environments
• Contribute to architecture, technical decisions, and engineering culture
• Participate in developing new features and future product areas
• Ensure quality, traceability, and reproducibility in calculations and systems

Your profile

We believe you are an engineer who likes to combine technical depth with product development and problem-solving. You thrive in an environment where much is still being shaped and where you have the opportunity to influence both technology and working methods.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in backend development in technologies such as Python, C++, Node.js, or similar
• Good understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms
• Experience building robust, scalable, and testable systems
• A structured approach with a focus on quality, security, and traceability
• Very good proficiency in English

Experience from medtech, research-oriented environments, or regulatory requirements is a plus, but the most important factors are your technical height, curiosity, and desire to build something long-term.
