About the Assignment

As a Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for the operation, development, and further development of Linux-based system environments. You will become a key player in standardizing, automating, and optimizing the infrastructure while ensuring a high level of operational security and safety.

The role involves both operational and strategic work, where you are expected to analyze needs, make technical decisions, and independently drive improvement initiatives from idea to implementation.

You will work in a security-classified environment with advanced system solutions and simulator platforms, where modern automation and virtualization form a central part of the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation using Ansible
• Build and further develop standardized Linux platforms
• Work with the operation, administration, and development of KVM-based virtualization environments
• Automate system installation, configuration, and lifecycle management
• Participate in the design and development of robust and scalable infrastructure solutions
• Ensure high availability, performance, and operational security
• Troubleshoot and handle complex technical incidents
• Contribute to work related to IT security and hardened environments
• Collaborate with system designers, security specialists, and other senior technical experts
• Document solutions, working methods, and technical implementations

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience as a System Administrator, Operations Technician, or similar
• Very good experience with Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Documented experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation with Ansible
• Deep expertise in virtualization with KVM
• Experience in building, developing, and maintaining complex Linux environments
• Ability to work independently and take technical responsibility for larger solutions
• Good experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving in advanced IT environments
• Experience in handling and documenting technical platforms and infrastructure solutions
• Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English

Preferred Qualifications

It is particularly interesting if you also have experience with:

• Network design and IP planning
• Firewalls and network security
• IT security in security-classified or sensitive operations
• Infrastructure and data center work
• Physical installation of servers and network equipment
• Container technology and modern DevOps practices
• Version control and CI/CD-related tools
