Your Role

The Systems Engineering & Integration Team (SEIT) section within Gripen Fighter Aircraft is growing, and we are now looking for an engaged systems engineer with energy and passion to lead technical development in flight technology – with the big picture in focus.

You will become part of an exciting phase involving the continued development of the Gripen E/F as well as customer deployment.

Systems Engineering is about ensuring that the right things are done in the right order, based on the project's development phase. In your role, you will support and lead subsystems from a technical perspective, with responsibility for balancing requirements related to time, technology, and cost.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Create conditions for the development team to achieve their goals within time and technology constraints in a cross-functional environment.
• Coordinate work between different disciplines, such as flight technology, structural design (airframe), system development, verification, and production.
• Drive technical investigations and handle complex problem statements.
• Support the creation and review of system documentation.
• Document prerequisites, define technical scope, and evaluate studies and concepts.

In this role, you will gain a broad network and personally develop a good understanding of flight technology and aircraft design. You will belong to SEIT, an experienced team that leads, follows up on, and coordinates the systems engineering work within the development of, among other things, fuselage, basic aircraft systems, flight technology, and armament. We work closely with various stakeholders and disciplines and have a central role in synchronizing the entire development chain. Through our work, we ensure that solutions become both technically robust and well integrated into the aircraft. In the role, you will get a broad network and the opportunity to build a deep understanding of flight technology and aircraft design.

• Have good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

Travel may occur in the position.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the currently applicable regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.

What You Will Become Part Of

You will become part of the SEIT (Systems Engineering & Integration Team) section within the Systems Engineering Management area at the Fighter Aircraft division. Here, we have the overall responsibility to lead and steer the technical development cross-functionally between all material groups in the division. The area is primarily engaged in the Gripen E/F development but also in future products.
