Job Description
Do you want to analyze and shape how advanced technical systems perform, function, and create value – throughout their entire lifecycle?
We are now continuing to establish Sigma Technology Engineering in Östergötland.
We are building a business area focused on qualified roles within technology, systems, and lifecycle management – and we are now looking for you who want to work as a specialist in this field in our customer projects.
This is an opportunity for you who want to combine technical understanding, analysis, and a holistic perspective – where you, in assignments together with our customers, contribute to developing sustainable and efficient systems over time.
About the Role
In this role, you work as an LCM/LSA Engineer, focusing on analyzing, structuring, and improving how technical systems function over their lifecycle. You are a key specialist in ensuring that products and systems remain available, reliable, and cost-effective over time.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting analyses within LSA/LCA related to maintenance, reliability, and availability
- Working with Life Cycle Management (LCM) and lifecycle perspectives in technical systems
- Developing foundations for maintenance strategies and spare parts planning
- Analyzing costs over time (LCC) and system performance
- Supporting development projects with requirements related to operation, support, and maintenance
- Working with structure, data, and documentation related to operational systems
- Collaborating with various functions such as design, production, and aftermarket
You work closely with both technology and business operations, focusing on creating decision support and long-term value.
Basic Qualifications
We are looking for you who have experience in analysis work, technical systems, or lifecycle-related issues.
You have a good understanding of how systems function in practice – and how to optimize them over time.
We see that you have:
- A university degree in engineering in a relevant field, e.g., logistics, mechanical engineering, production, or systems engineering. Alternatively, acquired equivalent competence through work experience.
- Experience working within LCM, LSA, LCA, or similar areas
- Understanding of maintenance, availability, and operational technical systems
- Experience from technology-intensive operations (e.g., defense, industry, or system development)
- An analytical approach and interest in data and structure
- Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We work closely with our customers, and a B-driver's license is a prerequisite. Since we often work within the defense industry or other critical societal functions, the positions are usually security classified and may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
Personal Skills, Traits, Experience
To thrive in this role, we believe you are a person who enjoys analyzing, structuring, and understanding complex systems.
You have very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We believe you are:
- Analytical and meticulous – you enjoy working with data and analyses
- Structured – you create order and clarity in complex information
- Curious – you want to understand how things work at a deep level
- Collaborative – you thrive in environments with many contact surfaces
- Responsible – you drive your work independently
Merits
- Experience from the defense industry or similar operations
- Experience in reliability analysis or maintenance optimization
- Background in systems engineering or requirements management
- Master's or Civil Engineer degree
We consider it a merit if you have completed national service or other relevant experience from the Swedish Armed Forces.
Also, equivalent experience within security, preparedness, or similar areas is seen as a plus.
What We Offer
You will become part of Sigma Technology Engineering, where we combine technical competence with a strong team spirit. As a consultant with us, you will belong to an engaged team that values community, knowledge sharing, and having fun together.
We put you, the consultant, at the center. Your well-being, your development, and your career goals are our priority.
We believe in long-term relationships and want you to thrive and grow with us for a long time. As a consultant with us, you will always have an engaged manager and colleagues, a secure employment, a flexible workplace, and the opportunity for a good work-life balance.
We look forward to receiving your application!
