Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a teacher with qualifications in Home Economics (Hemkunskap) for Kirsebergsskolan and our practical-aesthetic teaching team. The team consists of dedicated and knowledgeable staff who look forward to your participation in planning the pedagogical work. In your role as a teacher with us, you plan your teaching, carry it out, and assess your students' acquired knowledge. Your teaching planning may be done individually or in collaboration with your colleagues.

Your teaching is modern and creative, aiming to reach and find strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development. Furthermore, you engage in ongoing development work. This involves working actively with other school staff to establish and maintain a good learning and working environment for students and employees at our school.

Qualifications

You, as an applicant, are a certified Home Economics teacher and have experience teaching the subject. We would prefer that you have qualifications in additional subjects, as Home Economics is currently only taught in three classes in Year 6. It is an advantage if you have qualifications in any of the core subjects: Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language or Mathematics. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create a calm study environment and a good learning atmosphere for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good familiarity and practice, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools.

Kirsebergsskolan is a school for Years F-6. We have a positive view of students with high expectations. We use a language-developing approach in all activities due to the linguistic diversity among our students. Special needs educators, special teachers, school nurses, psychologists, counselors, and social pedagogues work in teams and collaborate closely with the school's teachers. Our goal is to create a good operation together with parents and students that gives our students the best conditions for lifelong learning.
