Do you want to work with analyses that strengthen the Swedish Armed Forces' decision-making?
As an analyst at the Operational Situation Information & Analysis Section (OLiA), you will be part of a work group whose main task is to produce decision support materials for the Swedish Armed Forces' operational commander and staff.
OLiA belongs to the Planning Division of the Operations Directorate at the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters in Stockholm. The Operations Directorate's mission is to plan, lead, and follow up on the Swedish Armed Forces' operations, both in Sweden and abroad.
The section consists of civilian analysts, and we are now looking for two new colleagues for parental leave vacancies.
Job Responsibilities
The role of analyst primarily involves collecting, structuring, processing, and analyzing information to draft decision support materials for higher command. You will also present these materials orally in various forums.
OLiA produces reports according to a fixed publication schedule, as well as on an ad-hoc basis depending on current events and circumstances. The operational activity is event-driven and can be characterized by a high pace with demands for quick delivery. Therefore, it is important that you have the ability to adapt to varying conditions.
In addition to ongoing production, we value development work. Together with engaged and experienced colleagues, you will have the opportunity to develop the section's working methods and processes.

About the Employment
The positions are two fixed-term contracts for approximately 12 months, with immediate start.
Work tests may be conducted during the recruitment process.
The employment is classified for security, and the Swedish Armed Forces will conduct a security clearance with register check according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
The position is located in central Stockholm. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and operations, which means the work is performed on-site at the office. Remote work opportunities are limited.
National and international travel may occur.

Information about the Recruiting Unit
The Headquarters houses the Supreme Commander and the Director General. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both career officers and civilian experts. As of 2023-01-01, the Headquarters consists of the Defense Staff, the Operations Directorate, the Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the Headquarters Staff Division and independent oversight units.
An employment with us involves placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required. A security clearance with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed.
