Personal Assistant for a Man in his 70s in Hamburgsund
God Assistans provides personal assistance to customers across Sweden. We are a company with a big heart, high competence, and genuine engagement in what we do. With extensive experience in personal assistance, we always strive to simplify daily life for our customers and create a safe working environment for our employees.
We believe in the importance of personal treatment, high availability, and quick service – and we work every day to live up to this.
Benefits of Working With Us
For our employees, we offer:
- Collective agreement
- Health allowance up to 4000 SEK/year
- Continuous education and competence development
About the Assignment
We are now looking for a personal assistant for a man in his 70s who lives in the idyllic area of Hamburgsund. He lives with ALS and uses a wheelchair, but despite his reduced speech ability, he is communicative and clear about his needs and wishes. Here you will have the opportunity to work closely with a person where the relationship, security, and social interaction are central.
This is an assignment for you who want to contribute to quality of life, participation, and an active everyday life.
Responsibilities
As a personal assistant, you will be an important support in both daily and social situations. The tasks include, among other things:
- Support with personal hygiene
- Simple household chores
- Tube feeding
- Social companionship and conversation
- Accompanying on walks and activities
The customer appreciates going out and finding things to do, and you have an important role in encouraging and making this possible. The work is not physically heavy, but it requires that you are sensitive, present, and have a respectful attitude.
We Are Looking For
Someone who is secure, empathetic, and responsible with a positive attitude and genuine engagement for people. You thrive in a role where the relationship with the customer is central and where you have the opportunity to create security and continuity in everyday life.
You do not need to have previous experience with the specific aids used in the assignment. We offer thorough introduction and on-the-job training so that you have the opportunity to learn the tasks calmly and together with experienced staff. Previous experience in care and social services is meritorious but not a requirement – personal suitability and chemistry are the most important factors. A driver's license is a plus.
Job Details
We are primarily looking for you who want to work as an hourly employee on an as-needed basis. The work is mainly scheduled on weekdays, but some weekend shifts may occur. Working hours are primarily around 10:00–14:00.
We are also flexible and try to adapt the setup to the right person. For you who are looking for a more long-term solution, there may therefore be an opportunity for a permanent position with fixed days.
Application
Selection and interviews take place continuously, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
Before an interview, we ask you to prove your right to work in Sweden by showing valid documents, such as a Swedish passport/personal identity document, residence permit (EU), or residence and work permit/LMA card (non-EU). According to the Register Control Act, you also need to present an extract from the police's criminal record register (Extract for work with children with disabilities) if you are to work with minors. You can easily order this digitally via the police's website.
