Welcome as Chief Physician to Psychiatry Northwest, Outpatient Section, with primary placement as the medically responsible physician at the Borderline Unit

We are looking for a Chief Physician with primary placement at the Borderline Unit. The position will also involve placement approximately one day a week, corresponding to 20–30 percent, at the OCD Unit. The distribution of time may change depending on the clinic's needs. The role includes medical leadership responsibility at both the Borderline Unit and the OCD Unit.

The Borderline Unit is a specialized unit within Psychiatry Northwest that provides DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). The unit treats patients with emotionally unstable personality disorder as well as other patients with self-harming behavior or difficulties with emotion regulation, where psychological treatment based on DBT is deemed beneficial for the patient. The unit is currently engaged in exciting development work where the treatment of complex PTSD will also constitute a large part of the treatment offer.

As a Chief Physician at the Borderline Unit, you will be part of our DBT team and collaborate closely with psychologists and the unit manager. Together with the unit manager, you will contribute to developing the unit based on current evidence and in alignment with the clinic's needs.

The OCD Unit is a specialized unit that conducts assessment and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder and related conditions, such as OCD, BDD, DTM/TTM, hoarding disorder, and tics/Tourette's syndrome. The OCD Unit is a smaller treatment unit where psychological treatment forms the core of the operations. The role of Chief Physician involves assessment and medical treatment in cases where patients are assessed to be in need of medical contact. We are currently reviewing how the unit's treatment offer for anxiety disorders can be expanded to reach more patient groups.

We work according to Region Stockholm's care processes and are keen on adapting the care we offer with a patient-in-focus approach.

Both operations are moving during the summer to new, beautiful, and newly renovated premises at S:t Eriksgatan 125. There, we will be located in the same building as several of Psychiatry Northwest's other clinics. We are now looking for you who want to contribute to building our operations at our new address.

In addition to the duties mentioned above, the role includes supervision of resident doctors and ST-doctors. The position also includes participation in the clinic's on-call activities.

You are a specialist physician in psychiatry with a genuine interest in and experience with the patient groups. You thrive working in teams and with evidence-based psychiatric diagnosis and treatment. Experience in development work is meritorious.

We are looking for you with good cooperation skills, sensitivity, engagement, and sound clinical judgment. You find satisfaction in patient meetings and in collaborating with other staff categories, both within the unit and between our clinics, to provide the best possible care for each patient.

The employment is permanent, full-time at 100 percent, 40 hours per week.

In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Council healthcare area:

- a register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.

- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new hire examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.

- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
