Specialist in General Medicine Wanted

We are now looking for a specialist in general medicine who wants to help develop future primary care within Region Stockholm. We are now seeking an engaged and competent specialist in general medicine for our operations. Here, you will become part of an experienced and cross-professional team focused on high medical quality, continuity, and good patient interaction.

WELCOME to Alby Health Centre, a well-functioning medium-sized health centre in a multicultural area. We are currently expanding our medical staff and are looking for you who are a specialist in general medicine. We are approximately 30 employees who have worked together for a long time, where closeness facilitates collaboration. We actively work on developing the operations and are looking for you who are interested in contributing new thoughts and ideas.

The health centre is located in Alby Centre, right next to the subway station.

Job Responsibilities: As a district doctor here, you will work with emergency and scheduled patient clinics with the broad general practitioner role as a basis. The work is varied and independent, where you will meet patients of all ages. You collaborate with other professions that contribute their expertise. Supervision of ST-doctors (residents) and other training doctors as needed. Participation in operational development and quality work.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Experience working at a health centre as well as home care is meritorious.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Employment Type:

Full-time, Monday-Friday, start date by agreement. Permanent position, probationary period may apply.

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

For patient-oriented work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):

  • A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through the occupational health service before employment.
  • Requires, in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
