Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for engaged and flexible personal assistants who want to improve the everyday life, future, and quality of life for the people of Linköping!

In the role of personal assistant, you support individuals with disabilities in their daily lives to create a meaningful existence. The tasks vary greatly depending on who you work for and may include:

  • Personal care, mobility assistance, and medication management.
  • Healthcare interventions such as delegation for tube feeding, catheters, and medication.
  • Household chores, leisure activities, and social contacts.
  • Documentation and preparation of implementation plans based on IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center).

Your Workplace

We are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant, either attached to specific users or as part of our new day and night patrol. Since the operation is in a startup phase, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape our working methods and contribute to a good work environment from the start.

As a personal assistant, you will operate either from a specific user's home or from our central base in Linköping. You will work both independently and with colleagues in double staffing depending on the user's needs. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekends.

For those working in the patrol, the role involves a high degree of flexibility, as you need to be able to support different users at short notice when needed, which requires you to quickly adapt to different home environments.

As a new employee, you will receive an introduction adapted to the assignment. We place great emphasis on good communication, collaboration, and competence development to ensure high quality in our assistance cases and good conditions for our employees.

You Who Apply

We are looking for you with work experience from one of the following industries: healthcare, support and care, service, retail, or restaurant, or other related operations involving contact with and service to others. It is considered an advantage if you have a completed upper secondary education, preferably from the healthcare and care program, child and youth program, or other education deemed equivalent. If you have previously worked as a personal assistant, this is seen as an advantage. It is also desirable that you have experience of intellectual and/or physical disabilities and experience in handling technical aids. It is further meritorious if you have knowledge of mobility techniques and alternative augmentative communication.

We would like you to have experience of documentation, implementation plans, and working based on IBIC. As the work involves customer contacts and documentation, you need to have good computer skills and be able to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. A category B driving license is meritorious as we use a car in the service in some cases.

You who apply are secure, stable, and have self-awareness, and you see relationships in their proper perspective. It is important that you have the ability to distinguish between the personal and professional. We also see that you have a good ability to collaborate, that you are receptive, and can communicate well with assistive users, colleagues, managers, and other partners in a way that is adapted to the individual you meet. You have a good ability to put yourself in someone else's perspective and needs. You take responsibility for your task and have the ability to structure your work. When circumstances change, you see the opportunities in the change.
