At Olivia, we work together for everyone's right to live life to the fullest. We are now looking for another colleague to join our team, is that you?
Do you want to make a real difference in a young person's daily life? We are currently looking for a secure, structured, and empathetic companion for a young man born in 2011, who lives with his family in the countryside outside Linghem.
About the position
The young man currently experiences a high degree of social isolation and has been absent from school for the past two years due to severe anxiety. He experiences significant discomfort and a feeling of being watched in environments with many people or where he feels exposed (e.g., restaurants, drive-ins, or densely populated areas). Home is his safe base.
The goal of the companionship is to break the isolation in a very calm and pressure-free manner, add value to daily life, and eventually, when trust is established, enable activities outside the home.
Profile and interests
To build a good relationship, it is a big plus if you share or understand his interests:
- Vehicles and cars: He has a strong interest in vehicles and has previously enjoyed visiting car museums and riding trams.
- Gaming: At home, he spends a lot of time playing games on his mobile phone and his PlayStation 5.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is calm, stable, and has a great deal of patience. To succeed in this role, you need to understand neuropsychiatric challenges and/or issues related to anxiety and staying at home.
Your key qualities:
- Structured and predictable: You have the ability to work with careful preparations and clear routines to avoid stress and loss of control.
- Empathetic: You can read the daily mood and adjust demands accordingly.
- Secure: You provide a calming presence and can handle situations where anxiety may arise.
Meritorious: Previous experience working with youths with social phobia, anxiety issues, or similar target groups. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
About you
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has the ability to understand and meet individuals' different needs. You are empathetic, proactive, solution-oriented, and engaged. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
Employment level: approx. 5% of full-time – 8 hours per month
Start date: Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. We warmly welcome your application.
Things to consider before applying:
A prerequisite for starting employment at Olivia is that you can provide a valid ID and submit a tax certificate (personbevis) as well as any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the tax certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website.
Since the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old.
If you wish to work with children and young people under 18, you must provide a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). It is important to order these extracts well in advance, as the Police's processing time may vary. Due to a legislative change effective March 1, 2026, the register check will be expanded to include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register.
You can easily order the extracts using BankID via this link: https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/ (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/)
We recommend that you ensure you have current extracts according to the new rules.
About the recruitment process: If you give your consent, we may share your profile with our sister companies if your profile matches another position within Team Olivia.
For you with Employment Support:
Olivia is an inclusive company. We welcome all applicants, including those who are entitled to some form of employment support through the Public Employment Service. It is voluntary to state this information in your application, or you can inform us during a potential interview.
About collective agreements and benefits at Olivia:
As an employee, you are covered by a collective agreement and, of course, insured on the way to and from work in case anything unexpected happens.
