At SAAND, we are now looking for an engaged, responsible, and attentive personal assistant for a client in Linköping – a man in his 30s with extensive care needs. We are looking for you who want to make a real difference in another person's daily life and who thrive working closely with people in an important and meaningful role.

About the role

As a personal assistant, you will be an important support in the client's daily life. The work includes both care and practical support, where you contribute to a safe, secure, and high-quality daily life. The tasks include, among other things:

• Personal care, including help with personal hygiene, dressing, and showering
• Mobility assistance using various aids, such as lifting from bed to wheelchair and use of a slide board
• Nasogastric feeding and administration of medication via PEG
• Inhalation treatment with sodium chloride/saline solution
• Resistive breathing and other respiratory support measures
• Contracture prophylaxis and support during training according to established routines
• Turning and positioning for increased comfort and well-being
• Support with household chores
• Companion during activities, exercise, and hospital visits

There are clear routines regarding medication, training, and care measures, which makes it important that you work carefully, responsibly, and with great respect for the client's needs. The work may involve shifts with double staffing and shifts where you work independently, which requires security in the role and good ability to make independent decisions within given frameworks.

About you

We are looking for someone who is positive, proactive, and flexible. You have a professional attitude and a low-affective approach, and you are attentive, patient, and empathetic in your interactions with others. We would like you to have:

• Good ability to work independently and take responsibility
• Experience in personal assistance, care work, or similar healthcare measures
• Knowledge of or experience with nasogastric feeding and medication via PEG
• Experience with mobility and good lifting technique
• Experience with contracture prophylaxis, respiratory care, or training measures is an advantage
• Education in care and social services is desirable
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

Working hours and scope

Working hours vary between approximately 07:00–19:30 or until 21:00. Work occurs on both weekdays and weekends.

• You must be able to speak and understand Swedish fluently.
• We prefer applicants who are over 25 years old.
