Our Mission

In the National Assessment and Planning department, we provide remote support and service via phone and digital channels to job seekers and employers across the country. The role focuses on job seekers and employers, and you will contribute every day to helping more people move closer to employment or education.

Our Workplace

The current unit operates in Gothenburg and consists of approximately 120 employees distributed across six sections. We work together in an environment where collaboration and collegial support are central to creating a vibrant atmosphere. The location is the Swedish Public Employment Service's office in Gothenburg.

Job Description

As an Employment Advisor within National Assessment and Planning, you provide service and support to both job seekers and employers across the country via phone and digital channels. In this role, you meet new job seekers for initial assessment and planning, are responsible for matching them with jobs or education, and make decisions within the scope of the assignment. The work involves a structured daily routine with scheduled tasks and clear goals.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to have a structured approach to work and feel confident in interpreting and applying laws and regulations. You document information in a legally secure manner, interact professionally with people, and have the ability to navigate between multiple systems simultaneously. You are motivated by working towards set goals and contributing to results.

Your employment begins with an introduction period where you will be well-equipped with the necessary skills to handle your future duties as a civil servant.

Our Offer

This is a permanent full-time position starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. The location is Gothenburg.

Basic Requirements for the Position

  • University/college education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits under the previous system)

Alternatively

  • Have been employed as an Employment Advisor and are assessed to have good prerequisites to meet today's requirements for Employment Advisors.

And

  • At least 2 years of work experience, combined work of at least 50 percent over a total of two years
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, meaning good ability to communicate orally and in writing, as well as high reading comprehension

Other Merits for the Position

  • Worked for at least 1 year providing support and service to customers via phone
  • Worked for at least 1 year within government operations
  • Worked for at least 1 year with guidance towards employment and/or studies
