Rescue Service Greater Gothenburg is looking for four case officers for the function Rescue Preparedness within the Department of Operations and Capability. We offer a qualified and developmental position where you will have the opportunity to contribute to strengthening and developing the operational capability of the rescue service in our member municipalities.

About the Position

As a case officer within Rescue Preparedness, you play a central role in developing and ensuring an effective rescue service. You work closely with operations on matters concerning capability development, planning, and analysis, serving as a support to the Chief Fire Officer in strategic and operational matters.

The work involves processing and preparing cases, as well as participating in development initiatives with a direct impact on core activities. The role also includes coordinating and contributing to inter-agency work, conducting environmental scanning, and participating in training and information initiatives within the organization. The assignment requires independence and close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education in disaster protection or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have operational experience from the rescue service or similar operations, and also have experience in case processing, coordinating, or investigative work.

You have a good ability to analyze complex issues and express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Furthermore, you have good digital competence and a B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have experience in development work or project management, as well as education in leadership, for example as a strength leader or equivalent.

Experience from different roles within the rescue service, such as firefighter or officer, is also valuable.

Other Information

The position is a permanent full-time employment with access according to agreement, with a desired start date in autumn 2026. Interviews will take place in week 28 at Gårda Fire Station.

The work is scheduled during daytime, and travel may occur within the position.

Alcohol and drug tests will be conducted in connection with employment in accordance with the organization's policy. The employment also includes war posting in accordance with current regulations.
