Västra Götaland Region is now rolling out a new digital solution for patient meal orders. Using QR codes and mobile technology, patients will be able to choose and order their own meals – a working method that strengthens patient participation, frees up time for healthcare staff, and reduces food waste in the region.

To succeed in this important implementation work, we are looking for two coordinators who want to work closely with the operations and be a key person in the change. The position is located at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg.

As a coordinator, you are responsible for the practical implementation of the digital ordering solution in the care units. You work closely with staff and management, provide training and support, and ensure that the new working method functions in practice. The role is operationally focused, where your ability to create security and structure is crucial for a successful implementation.

Your main responsibilities

• Implement the digital meal ordering solution in selected care units
• Train and support healthcare staff in the new working method
• Ensure that routines, workflows, and prerequisites function in practice
• Identify needs, challenges, and suggestions for improvement from the operations
• Act as a link between healthcare, the Meal Services Area (Supply Administration), and IT functions
• Contribute to follow-up and experience collection after implementation

We are looking for you who

• Have a completed upper secondary education and experience with operational change management, preferably within healthcare, service, or the public sector
• Enjoy working operationally and close to staff in their daily work
• Are pedagogical, receptive, and skilled at building trusting relationships
• Have good structure, prioritization skills, and can handle parallel implementations
• Can adapt your communication to different target groups
• Are solution-oriented and confident in working in change environments
• Experience in working with food and meal issues is an advantage
• Have a very good understanding of digital systems and mobile technology

The position is a fixed-term assignment starting in September until December 31, 2026.
