A glimpse into your day
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a central role in the development of our gas turbines and the hottest components within the turbine. You will work with the entire design chain – from concept generation and technical decisions to detailed design and implementation in the final product.

In this role, you will create advanced CAD models and drawings, act as a technical support contact for procurement and external suppliers, and be responsible for technical investigations related to fault reports from our service operations. This role offers you the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, take on increased responsibility, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that drive performance and reliability in future turbines.

How you will make an impact

• Participate in the development of design solutions together with other disciplines within the R&D department.
• Document design solutions through 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Act as the technical contact point for our service department, suppliers, and workshop.
• Perform or participate in fault and root cause investigations.
• Opportunity to lead smaller projects or sub-projects for new and existing turbine products.
• Continuously improve methods and processes as part of your daily work.

What you bring

• You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• You have at least 5 years of experience with 3D CAD and technical drawing creation, preferably with a driving role in development work.
• You are a curious and driven individual who loves learning new things.
• You are fluent in both English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• You value collaboration and teamwork.

About the team
You will become part of a department with approximately 120 people, where our team of about 15 people focuses on turbine blading and rotors. The group is responsible for the design and development of turbine components for our gas turbines, SGT-600, -700, -750, and -800. Here, deep technical competence is combined with an open climate where questions, collaboration, and learning are encouraged.

Within the Gas Services division, we offer energy solutions with zero or low emissions based on our gas turbines, combined with steam turbines and generators under one roof. Through service, modernization, and digitalization of the delivered fleet, we create opportunities for a reduced climate footprint.
