Your responsibilities

Nursing aims to maintain, strengthen, or regain health, as well as to prevent or counteract ill health. Nursing science encompasses the development and further development of theories and methods, focusing on the needs and resources of the individual, the group, and society.

As a University Lecturer (Adjunkt), your work will primarily involve teaching. You will mainly teach at the undergraduate level on the Nursing Programme, but teaching on the Specialist Nursing Programmes may also be considered depending on your background and experience. The role also includes administrative tasks such as planning and evaluating education, examinations, etc.

The Faculty of Medicine applies student-active teaching methods.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have completed a nursing degree as well as a master's degree to match the lecturer role, where the majority of teaching will be within the theoretical and practice-based education of the Nursing Programme and the Specialist Nursing Programmes.

Previous experience of teaching on the Nursing Programme is meritorious, as is experience of course responsibility.

For this position, the greatest emphasis will be placed on pedagogical competence.

Regarding pedagogical competence, the following will be assessed. The requirement for employment is the ability to plan and conduct teaching.

Since teaching is conducted in Swedish, you must demonstrate a good ability to teach in Swedish.

You are flexible and capable of moving between different types of pedagogical and scientific contexts. You share knowledge and contribute to the professional development of the work group, collegial working methods, and social cohesion. We consider your presence and activity essential for you to perform your duties in the best possible way and to thrive in the work community.

About the position

This is a fixed-term position at 100% from August 24, 2026 (or as agreed) until January 22, 2027.
