At SSE, we pride ourselves on providing an international and dynamic work environment where creativity, initiative, and quality drive our endeavors.

About the role

The Internship Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, coordinating, and expanding internship opportunities for students, both internationally and nationally, with a particular focus on supporting students in ranked master’s programs and international students. Alongside this, the role involves providing guidance to students seeking internships, helping them identify opportunities aligned with their career goals, strengthen their applications, and prepare for internship recruitment processes.

Key responsibilities:

Internship sourcing and development:

  • Collaborate with the Employer Relations Manager to secure high-quality internship opportunities from corporate partners, alumni, and industry leaders, both internationally and in Sweden.
  • Together with the career management team, regularly review and update internship listings in the Career Hub, ensuring relevance to students' areas of study and career goals.

Student support and coaching:

  • Provide 1:1 coaching sessions to students, helping them identify opportunities, strengthen their applications, and prepare for recruitment processes.
  • Design and deliver industry spotlight sessions and workshops to help students explore different career paths and industries.
  • Support international students with visa and work permit queries, including organizing informational sessions to help them navigate the Swedish job market with confidence.

Stakeholder collaboration:

  • Partner with program management to ensure internships integrate seamlessly with academic schedules, especially for ranked master’s programs, and that students receive adequate support in securing internships.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Relations team and the Employer Relations Manager to leverage existing corporate relationships and increase internship opportunities.

Data-tracking and reporting:

  • Administer career surveys and monitor response rates to track student engagement and post-graduation employment outcomes.
  • Proactively follow up with students based on survey responses, offering 1:1 guidance and tailored support where needed.

Your profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources, International Relations, Education); a master’s degree is meritorious.
  • 3–5 years of experience in recruitment, talent management, career services, or a related role within higher education or corporate environments.
  • Proven experience in internship or job placement.
  • Fluency in English is required for this role.
  • Previous experience working in or with financial institutions is an advantage.
  • International experience is also considered a strong merit.

Key competencies:

  • Relationship building: Build strong connections with corporate partners, alumni, and stakeholders to expand internship opportunities.
