Are you an experienced accountant who thrives in complex environments and wants to play a central role during a company's most critical period? We are now looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist for a comprehensive consulting assignment with a well-established organization featuring both a group structure and multiple business units.

This assignment is for you if you appreciate the combination of operational accounting work, quality assurance, and process development. You will work closely with the accounting manager and other finance functions, focusing on ensuring efficient and high-quality closing processes and annual financial statements.

About the Assignment

The assignment involves both strategic and operational work before and during the annual closing, as well as the preparation of annual financial statements for the group and related entities.

Among other things, you will:

• Actively participate in the closing and annual reporting process
• Ensure quality in balance sheets and income statements
• Develop and improve templates, checklists, and documentation
• Assure the quality of accounting principles and the application of regulations
• Coordinate and support the audit process
• Identify risks and ensure critical deadlines are met
• Contribute to improved working methods and more efficient processes
• Work closely with operations, the finance department, and external auditors

We are looking for someone with

• At least 5–10 years of experience in qualified accounting work or auditing
• Extensive experience with annual closing and annual financial statements
• Experience with group accounting
• Very good knowledge of K3 and Swedish accounting regulations
• Good system proficiency and experience with modern finance and reporting systems
• Very good skills in Excel
• System proficient, experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Unit4 is a merit
• Experience with auditing or close collaboration with external auditors is a merit
