Region Västerbotten – Specialist Physician at Teg Health Centre

Primary Care South consists of Teg, Hörnefors, and Nordmaling health centres. We are now looking for a specialist physician for Teg Health Centre.

Who We Are

We are looking for you who want to work in a stable area in central Umeå. Our catchment area has a mixed population from both the city and the countryside. Currently, we have 17,950 people registered at our health centre. We have good staffing levels at the health centre and good conditions for meeting the needs of people seeking care from us. We have the strength and advantages of being a large health centre while maintaining a close and non-hierarchical relationship among those who work there. Our party committee has a rating of 5 out of 5, and there is always room for conversation and laughter in the staff room. Collaboration and active dialogue regarding areas for improvement are highly valued. You will be part of a fully staffed medical group.

Job Responsibilities

As a specialist physician with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel safe and validated in their encounter with you.

The work is characterized by meetings with people of all ages, with all kinds of health-related issues. In general medical specialist work, you will follow an individual's various health problems over time and weigh in the person's entire life situation in your assessment. As a specialist, you are expected to support physicians in training in their ongoing work and provide supervision during allocated supervision time. You are also expected to be an active part of the medical group's and health centre's meetings, dialogues, and improvement work.

Duty shifts at the primary care emergency service are included in the job.

Qualifications

For this job, you need a specialist certificate in general medicine or be in the final stages of your specialist training (ST) in general medicine. Interest in supervising students and trainee physicians is important.

You are a present and positive person who sees the patient with knowledge and care and can adapt care to the needs that exist. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people, both patients and colleagues. You function well in the working methods required within primary care and manage your workday based on the commitment expected of a specialist physician. You see opportunities and can handle your workday even when patient pressure is high by making independent decisions on the issues you face.

We require good knowledge of the Swedish language.
