The National School for Students with Physical Disabilities consists of a school, habilitation services, and a student residence, working together to provide students with support to develop and achieve their goals. Interventions are carried out in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act. The Habilitation team works with students admitted to the National School for Students with Physical Disabilities. The work is conducted in close collaboration with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, counselors, as well as in cooperation with the school, student residence, and other stakeholders.

We are now looking for a psychologist to join our team!

Your responsibilities

Interventions are carried out in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and are based on each student's individual needs and conditions. The work includes, among other things, individual conversations with students, assessments of cognitive functions, and standard tasks for a psychologist within habilitation services.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where you contribute your psychological expertise and are responsible for a number of student cases. The role involves coordinating interventions, monitoring the student's development, and collaborating closely with colleagues, guardians, and other stakeholders involved with the student.

Together with other professions, you will actively participate in operational development and quality work to continuously develop support measures and working methods within the school. Supervision of staff within the operation may also be included in the assignment.

About you

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with an interest in working in an environment where youth development is the focus. You have experience working with young people with disabilities, as well as individual counseling and assessments of cognitive functions, intellectual disability, and neuropsychiatric conditions. Experience with habilitation and work in multidisciplinary teams is considered an advantage.

Since collaboration with the school, student residence, guardians, and other stakeholders is an important part of the assignment, you must have good collaboration skills and be able to build trusting relationships. You take initiative, work independently, and feel confident in managing your own cases, while also appreciating being part of a team. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good digital competence for documentation and collaboration.
