We are excited that you are interested in working as a Physiotherapist with us in Home Health Care!

Home Health Care (HSIH) consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, and assistant nurses. Our friendly team includes 23 occupational therapists, 14 physiotherapists, and 3 rehabilitation coordinators who work closely together. You will become part of a work group with strong camaraderie and job satisfaction, where we support and encourage each other.

Our target group consists of patients aged 18 and older who require health and medical care while living in ordinary housing in Umeå Municipality.

During the autumn of 2026, we will strengthen HSIH by recruiting several occupational therapists and physiotherapists. This is to enhance teamwork within HSIH and enable us to provide more preventive interventions through a rehabilitative and person-centered approach. The new employees will be integrated into the regular operations and will participate in developing our current working methods.

Your Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist, you work to create conditions for individuals to remain living in their homes and lead as independent a life as possible. Your duties include assessing patients' functional and mobility capabilities, and subsequently providing recommendations and instructions for mobility and training programs. Writing certificates, prescribing assistive devices, and supervising home care staff are common tasks.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. Previous experience in home health care, teamwork, or work in specialist areas such as geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, or psychiatry is advantageous, but we also welcome candidates with other professional experiences. The role requires a valid B-driver's license and good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills and thrive in a team environment while taking responsibility for your own contributions. You believe that professional and friendly treatment, perhaps with a touch of humor, is a valuable tool for building good relationships with patients and colleagues. You are a positive and engaged colleague who wants to contribute to the development of our operations. In our recruitment process, we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Heavy lifting may occur, and you are expected to use mobility aids in your work. Since smoking and animals may be present in the workplace, you should not be allergic to smoke or animals.
