Medicine Service – Fixed-term Position

The Medicines Centre is Region Västerbotten's expert body for medicinal issues, working for evidence-based, patient-safe, and cost-effective use of medicines and medicine supply within Region Västerbotten. Employees of the Medicines Centre are located in Umeå at Norrlands University Hospital (NUS), in Skellefteå at Skellefteå Hospital, in Lycksele at Lycksele Hospital, and at the Rural Medicine Centre in Storuman.

At the Medicines Centre, you will be part of an engaged team consisting of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and administrative staff.

Job Description

You will be part of the team performing the Medicine Service role at NUS and Skellefteå Hospital. The work is physical, involving standing, walking, and lifting cartons for most of the working day.

You will work with ordering and unpacking medicines, sustainability checks, and structured medicine inventory work, as well as other related tasks. You will work in a team with logistics technicians and pharmacists.

Digital meetings and contacts, as well as travel within the region, occur.

Qualifications

It is meritorious if you are trained as a pharmacy technician or have a few years of experience working in healthcare or with medicines.

You need to be able to express yourself clearly in speech and writing, and have good experience working in various IT systems/programs. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. For the position, a high school education is required, and proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale.
