We are delighted that you are interested in working as an Occupational Therapist with us in Home Health Care!

Home Health Care (HSIH) consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, and assistant nurses. In our wonderful team, we are 23 occupational therapists, 14 physiotherapists, and 3 rehabilitation coordinators who work closely together. You will become part of a work group with good camaraderie and job satisfaction. We are good at encouraging and supporting each other. Our target group is patients aged 18 and above who need health and social care in ordinary housing in Umeå Municipality.

During autumn 2026, we will strengthen HSIH with several occupational therapists and physiotherapists. This is to strengthen teamwork within HSIH and to be able to work with more preventive measures through a rehabilitative and person-centered approach. The new employees will be part of the regular operations and will be involved in developing our current working methods.

Your responsibilities

As an occupational therapist, you work to create conditions for individuals to continue living in their own homes and lead as independent a life as possible. The work includes, among other things, assessing patients' activity capacity and living environment. Writing certificates, prescribing assistive devices, and supervising home care staff are common tasks.

About you

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. If you have previous experience from home health care, teamwork, or have worked in specialist areas such as neurology, orthopedics, or psychiatry, it is an advantage, but we also welcome those with other work experience. The job requires a B driving license and good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.

You are a positive and engaged colleague who wants to contribute to the development of our operations. As a person, you have good cooperation skills and enjoy working in a team while taking responsibility for your own contribution. You believe that professional and friendly treatment, perhaps with a touch of humor, is a valuable tool for building good relationships with patients and colleagues. Lifting heavy objects occurs, and you are expected to use transfer aids in your work. Since smoking and animals may be present at the workplace, you should not be allergic.
