Storuman Municipality is a large municipality in Southern Lapland. Approximately 6,000 people live here, with just over half residing in the urban areas of Storuman/Stensele and Tärnaby/Hemavan. For those who enjoy an active life close to nature, there is a fantastic selection of activities, both in summer and winter. Imagine gliding along a well-prepared ski track in the magical winter light, a mirror-like mountain lake on a summer evening when the sun refuses to set, a bog in a forest clearing glowing gold with ripe cloudberry, or a freshly brewed cup of coffee in a sunspot in April. All of this and more are experiences available in our immediate surroundings. Our municipality is not just a place to live, but a place where you can live a wonderful life. Storuman Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we value knowledge of the Sami language and culture.

Can you meet a person in the moment, even if the moment sometimes wanders off in another direction? Are you the nursing assistant who can master everything from finding lost glasses (which are often on the nose) to creating safety, joy, and structure in the lives of people living with dementia? Then you might be the star we are looking for!
We are now seeking engaged and reliable night staff for our dementia care facility. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with people and contribute to a safe, secure, and meaningful everyday life – even during the night hours.
People with various forms of dementia live here with us. Every day and night, we work to provide them with a meaningful, secure, and dignified existence. We work person-centered; we meet people where they are – and we do it together as a strong team. We believe in calmness, clarity, patience, and plenty of warmth. And yes, humor helps a lot too – it is not uncommon for both staff and residents to laugh at things only we understand.
As night staff, your responsibilities include:
- Providing care, support, and nursing to residents with dementia.
- Creating safety and calm during the night.
- Performing supervision, personal care, and medical interventions according to delegation.
- Documenting and reporting according to the facility's routines.
- Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to good care and support.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a trained nursing assistant or has other relevant education/experience in care and support.
- Has experience working with the elderly or people with dementia (meritorious).
- Is responsible, empathetic, and has a professional approach.
- Can work independently and make well-founded decisions during the night.
- Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
