YOUR ROLE

As a nurse with us, you work with healthcare interventions at the primary care level for patients aged 18 and above, in their own homes. The work is independent, varied, and mobile, involving assessment, planning, implementation, and follow-up of interventions based on the patient's needs. You are a central part of the person-centered approach and actively contribute to shaping care together with the patient.

The role also includes mentoring and supporting other professional groups, as well as collaborating with relatives, colleagues, and external actors, where the region is an important partner. At the same time, you are never alone in your mission, but have support from colleagues and management in your daily work.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

We are primarily looking for you who are a licensed nurse, or about to become licensed. Previous experience working as a nurse is advantageous, as is specialized training in a relevant area. To thrive in this role, you need to be confident in your professional role and able to work independently and take responsibility for your assessments, while also being able to structure and prioritize your work in a changing daily routine.

You communicate clearly, pedagogically, and with care, and find it easy to collaborate with others. A B-class driver's license is required, and you must have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Skellefteå Municipality is a Finnish and Sami administrative municipality, which means that knowledge of Finnish or Sami is advantageous, as is sign language.

For this position, you are required by law to present a current extract from the Swedish Police Authority's register prior to any employment. This applies to the extract "Work in the home with elderly persons or persons with disabilities." You are responsible for ordering the correct extract yourself via polisen.se.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

The Health and Medical Care Unit is part of the Social Services Department in Skellefteå Municipality and serves residents throughout the municipality. Our daily life is characterized by collaboration, trust, and a shared ambition to develop both working methods and digital solutions that strengthen the quality of care. With us, you will have independent work with close collegial support, individual onboarding, and opportunities for further education.

We value work-life balance and prioritize daytime hours for preventive work, while the service is also available during evenings, weekends, and nights when patients need us most. In the case of full-time employment, the schedule currently involves working one weekend per six-week period and approximately four evenings during the same period. Here, you will become part of a professional and engaged work group where we together make a real difference in people's daily lives.
