Medicine Service – Fixed-term Position

The Medicines Centre is Region Västerbotten's expert body for pharmaceutical issues, working for evidence-based, patient-safe, and cost-effective medicine use and supply within the region. Employees at the Medicines Centre are located in Umeå at Norrlands University Hospital (NUS), in Skellefteå at Skellefteå Hospital, in Lycksele at Lycksele Hospital, and at the Rural Medical Centre in Storuman.

At the Medicines Centre, you will be part of an engaged team consisting of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and administrative staff.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of the team performing the Medicine Service role at NUS and Skellefteå Hospital. The work is physical, involving standing, walking, and lifting cartons for most of the working day.

Your tasks will include ordering and unpacking medicines, conducting shelf-life checks, and structured inventory management, as well as other related duties. You will work in a team with logistics technicians and pharmacists.

Digital meetings and contacts, as well as travel within the region, are part of the role.

Qualifications

It is meritorious if you are trained as a pharmacy technician or have a few years of experience working in healthcare or with medicines.

You are structured and methodical in your work approach and see collaboration as a prerequisite for success.

You must be able to express yourself clearly in speech and writing and have good experience working with various IT systems/programs. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. A high school education is required for the position, along with Swedish language skills at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.
