The elderly care services in Umeå Municipality aim to be a resource that frees up and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

Lundagård Care and Support Housing is located at Sofiehem, approximately 4 km from Umeå city center, near Norrlands University Hospital and Ålidhem Church. The facility is newly built and opened in autumn 2019. Lundagård is a collaborative house, meaning other municipal operations are also located in the building: a preschool and a communal kitchen. The approximately 100 children attending the preschool have their outdoor area adjacent to the housing facility's outdoor area, and in the communal kitchen, a large number of meal portions are prepared and distributed to housing facilities and preschools throughout Umeå Municipality.

We are now looking for you who want to work as substitute nursing staff with us!

Your Responsibilities

You will assist our residents with personal care and, under the delegation of the responsible nurse, perform medical tasks. Your duties also include documenting measures and health conditions. You will also work as a contact person, focusing on the elderly person's participation in decision-making. This ensures that interventions are carried out with high quality according to the assistance decision and implementation plan.

Meeting residents requires high personal competence, where maturity, empathy, and good judgment are crucial for creating security and trust. You show strong commitment to both users and the organization through a respectful and professional approach in all situations. You thrive working independently and are patient and proactive in your work style. At the same time, you have a good ability to collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, relatives, and other professions. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Requirements:

• Experience working in care and support housing
• Experience with medical delegation
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, to communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues, write and read care documentation, and receive medical delegation

Merits:

• Education as a nursing assistant, care aide, or similar education

Lifting heavy loads occurs, and transfer aids must be used. There are fur-bearing animals on the workplace (dogs/cats) and smoking is present, so you should not be allergic.

Other Information

The position is a temporary full-time role, starting 2026-08-17 and ending 2027-03-21. Working hours are scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends.
