About the Role

The IT Department of the Service Administration is responsible for the operation, support, and development of Eskilstuna Municipality's IT platform. Our mission is to deliver stable and secure IT services that enable the operations to function and contribute to good service for the municipality's residents.

As an IT Technician, you are the first point of contact for IT issues within the operations and a key part of ensuring that employees' workdays run smoothly. You work closely with users and are responsible for providing fast, professional, and solution-oriented support. The role involves varied work where you encounter different types of cases and users with varying needs and knowledge levels.

Responsibilities

We handle approximately 800 calls per week and about 75 visits to our customer reception, which means that the work around our service desk is periodically characterized by a high tempo. Your task is to deliver high-quality and efficient IT support where you resolve users' problems within agreed timeframes. In this role, you have a central function with many contact points, both towards the municipality's employees and internally within the organization, thereby directly contributing to the smooth functioning of operations in everyday life.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in various specialist areas, such as network, client, and server. Together, you ensure that the operations receive the IT support required in daily work. You will work in Microsoft System Center Service Manager with Cireson as an add-on.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are service-oriented, communicative, and pedagogical, with the ability to explain technical solutions in a simple and clear way to users with different knowledge levels. You have a structured approach to work, good prioritization skills, and thrive in a varied work tempo. You are solution-oriented, flexible, and have a drive to develop both working methods and the quality of delivery.

You have good general IT knowledge and can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English. Experience with IT support, ITSM tools, or IT Service Management processes is meritorious, as is knowledge of agile working methods and ITIL certification. We would like you to have at least a high school education with an IT focus. A B-class driver's license is also considered a merit.
