At the Communications Unit for Skånes University Hospital, our mission is to create value for patients, relatives, employees, and managers through communication. The Editorial and Healthcare Communication Unit works on developing and coordinating the hospital's editorial work, social media, as well as patient communication and film production. We belong to the Corporate Communications Staff in Region Skåne, where we, together with other healthcare administrations, work with operationally close communication within healthcare.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work as an Editorial Communicator. Together with four colleagues, you are part of the editorial team responsible for Skånes University Hospital's internal and external editorial work. You will interview, write, and produce editorial content for our various channels. You have an important responsibility in adapting to target groups and being the filter required to ensure our editorial channels are useful.

The role also involves close collaboration with managers and colleagues, and you take on an advisory role when it comes to reaching out with messages in the best way. You base your work on our editorial principles and are responsible for making assessments together with colleagues based on these when receiving requests. Within the team, we support each other in our various assignments based on needs and what is planned in our different channels.

Skånes University Hospital operates in both Lund and Malmö, so even if you have your permanent placement in Lund, work will occur in both locations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with a university education in journalism, media and communication science, or in a field relevant to the position.

We want you to:

  • Be a skilled writer with experience in writing concise news texts.
  • Have experience in quickly getting up to speed in new areas and producing texts to fixed deadlines.

It is meritorious if you:

  • Have good knowledge of web publishing tools, preferably Optimizely.
  • Can combine the journalistic and communicative perspectives in your work.
  • Are accustomed to and enjoy photography.

For this role, we are looking for you who are driven and communicative. It is important that you are used to taking initiative and independently carrying out tasks and finding solutions based on deadlines. At the same time, you enjoy working in a group and developing together. You need to have very good collaboration skills because the work requires many contacts both within and outside the administration. The work pace is often high, and you need to be able to work structured and prioritize among a variety of needs. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

We plan for digital interviews on the morning of August 20th and all day on August 21st.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: The position is a parental leave substitute 2026-09-01 to 2027-04-30.
