About the Organization

The Functional Support Department offers support and services to children, young people, and adults with disabilities. We work based on the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and the Social Services Act to strengthen the individual's independence, security, and participation. The department covers day activities, housing with special service, housing for social support, support and service housing, short-term care for children, leisure activities, relief and escort services, as well as personal assistance. The Functional Support Department makes a real difference in people's daily lives and creates conditions for an independent and meaningful life for everyone.

Job Responsibilities

As a Support Assistant/Support Staff member at Fjällsippan, you will work to ensure good living conditions based on each user's needs, prerequisites, and interests. You will support the user in their daily life by working according to the implementation plans established and in line with the department's guidelines and objectives. The position also includes duties as a contact person, where you, together with the user, other professionals, and representatives, establish and follow up on work based on the implementation plan. In the department, we use the documentation system Pulsen Combine. Your work also involves mentoring, supporting, accompanying, and planning activities, as well as assisting the user with household management. The department has common areas and premises that you will be responsible for, together with the work group.

Qualifications

You have a care education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge and experience within the field of disability support are meritorious. You must be able to work independently as well as in collaboration with other staff and have a good approach to customer/user interaction. You must be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and have good digital competence. As a person, you are secure and confident in your role and have a good ability to act professionally in all situations that arise. The work involves physical activities with users, so you must have basic physical fitness and an interest in planning and carrying out activities. Personal suitability is highly valued. In accordance with the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours and Duration

Employment level: 100%. Permanent position. Probation period may apply. Work is performed during days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Monthly salary. We apply individual salary setting; please state your salary requirements in your application. Salary according to agreement.
