Gällivare Municipality has been awarded a state grant from the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten County for the project Collaboration in Gällivare against Human Trafficking, Prostitution and Exploitation. The project runs from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2028, and aims to strengthen the municipality's local capacity to prevent, detect, and counter human trafficking, prostitution, and other sexual exploitation through long-term and structured collaboration between the municipality, business life, and civil society. The work is based on the method City by City, developed by The Salvation Army. We are now looking for a project worker for the project.

Responsibilities

As a project worker, you work closely with the project manager to plan, implement, and follow up on the project's activities. The work includes, among other things, building and supporting a local collaboration network against human trafficking, planning and implementing knowledge-raising measures such as seminars, workshops, and information campaigns, and contributing to the development of a local collaboration plan with routines and contact routes.

The role also involves communication and information measures, documentation and follow-up of the project's activities, as well as ongoing contact with the project's collaboration partners within the municipality, business life, and civil society. You will participate in knowledge transfer and experience sharing with other municipalities in Norrbotten, as well as in the planning and implementation of a conference on the theme of human trafficking, prostitution, and exploitation. Presentations of materials to steering groups, management groups, and collaboration groups may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work (Social Work degree). Experience in project work, collaboration, or work with social issues is meritorious, as is knowledge of human trafficking, prostitution, and exploitation. Experience in network building and good knowledge of society and its actors are also significant.

You are communicative, receptive, and work in a structured and independent manner. You easily create trusting relationships and can collaborate with actors from different sectors. You have the ability to see the big picture, maintain focus on quality, and have good verbal and written skills in Swedish. You can adapt your message to the needs of the target audience. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

In accordance with the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Fixed-term employment during the project period, latest until 2028-03-31. Employment rate: 50%
