Description
Arjeplog Municipality is one of Sweden's smallest municipalities in terms of population and one of the largest in terms of area. This entails certain differences compared to larger municipalities.
As a social secretary, you will handle all case types within the remit of individual and family care, including authority decisions concerning children and youth, adults, risk use and addiction, financial assistance, family law, and violence in close relationships. Receiving telephone duties and certain enforcement tasks, such as advisory and support conversations and parental support, are also included. Within the individual and family care department, we consist of two social secretaries, one case handler, and a unit manager working half-time. The team also includes two benefit case handlers (SoL and LSS).
As one of our social secretaries will be working on a project within the municipality, we are now looking for a social secretary with a degree in social work.
This is a highly varied role involving continuous learning. We are a small group that works closely together, assists each other with cases, and places great emphasis on dialogue with one another.
In line with the intentions of the new Social Services Act, we strive to be even more accessible and preventive. This includes, for example, advisory and support conversations without prior investigation or decision, as well as close collaboration with schools, guardians, and students.
In our small municipality, we have close proximity to collaboration partners such as schools/student health services, the police, the health center, and external partners like the church. We work together with great commitment to create the best possible conditions for the municipality's residents.
The work is conducted in accordance with the Social Services Act, the Act for Care of Young Persons (LVU), the Care of Persons with Certain Mental Illness Act (LVM), and other applicable legislation. Based on delegation, you are responsible for legally secure case handling and decisions in individual cases, as well as ensuring that established guidelines and routines are followed.
As a member of our team, you will occasionally be responsible for informing about our operations, both internally and externally.
Qualifications
To ensure the handling of cases concerning children and youth, only candidates with a degree in social work are eligible for this position.
You must have experience in authority decisions within some part of individual and family care, i.e., financial assistance, children and youth, adults, risk use and addiction, and/or family law.
You have good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
You have good knowledge of current legislation. You are experienced in documentation and can express yourself well in speech and writing. You need to be structured and flexible, solution-focused, and have good teamwork skills.
Personal suitability is given great weight.
Other Information
Start date: As soon as possible, according to agreement.
Duration: Until August 31, 2027, with a possible extension.
Employment level: Full-time.
Before a potential employment, you must provide extracts from the criminal record and suspicion register.
The position includes on-call duties according to a rotating schedule.
