The Command Company of the Southern Military Region is now looking for a Operations Manager for the Southern Military Region's command system. This is a civilian position based in Revingehed. About the Unit
The Southern Military Region (MR S) is one of four military regions in Sweden, representing a permanent military geographical division of Sweden's territory. The military region is responsible for territorial command and coordination of missions and operations, total defense planning, defense planning, intelligence and security services, and support to society. The responsibility also includes production and operational command of MR S's five Military Region Groups and their eleven home guard battalions.
MR S Headquarters is located in Revingehed and is staffed by both civilian employees and military personnel from all branches of the armed forces. The work is carried out in several dimensions, often within the framework of operations involving multiple branches of the armed forces and allied countries, and always with a need for civil-military cooperation. In a military region, the Swedish Armed Forces and civil society meet. Therefore, one must understand the role of the Swedish Armed Forces, have good awareness of the external environment, and a holistic understanding of how society is organized and functions. We also handle tasks that are largely subject to secrecy and require a high degree of personal integrity.
Main Responsibilities
As an Operations Manager at MR S Command Company, you are responsible for the operation of the Southern Military Region's command support system (SP LSS MR). The Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up carried out to establish, maintain, and dismantle communication and IT systems within the military region. The role involves, among other things, supporting MR S's subordinate units in establishing, operating, and troubleshooting the command support systems they use. With the support of the company's systems engineers, you lead technical support efforts for the headquarters and your own units, ensure that updates and controls are carried out, receive fault reports, and are responsible for resolving them.

Other Information

The organization consists of the Commander with headquarters, five military region groups for training and support of the home guard, and approx. 7,000 home guard soldiers organized in eleven battalions and a number of independent units.
