In the Functional Support Administration, we work together to deliver and develop the best possible support and service for people with disabilities. For us, this means developing effective solutions based on insights into our target group's needs, starting from our societal mission and the opportunities modern technology provides. Automation and the ability to handle and use data to conduct digital business development are crucial for our ability to meet the demands placed on us.
Responsibilities
As an IT/Information Architect, you will have a central role in translating our business needs into structured, scalable, and sustainable digital solutions. The role involves operating at the intersection of business, law, and IT, with a special responsibility for creating structure in the system landscape, information flows, and digital working methods.
You will belong to the Digitalization Unit, with the mandate to jointly be responsible for and drive digital development in close collaboration with our business departments, their management, and the city's central IT.
The role includes, among other things:
- Analyzing business needs and translating them into architecture, requirement profiles, and solution proposals, in close collaboration with both internal and external actors.
- Participating in and developing our work with business architecture, information modeling, and system mapping.
- Driving the development of digital solutions that contribute to the standardization and efficiency of processes.
- Planning, leading, and executing projects with a focus on technical project management.
- Contributing to requirement setting towards suppliers and Malmö City's central IT function.
The role will develop over time, and you have great opportunities to influence content and working methods.
Qualifications
You have a relevant academic education of at least 180 credits, for example in systems science, informatics, information architecture, or another education that the employer deems equivalent.
We are looking for you who have:
- Experience working with system architecture, business/information architecture, or solution architecture.
- Good understanding of system landscapes, integrations, and information flows in complex organizations.
- Experience translating business needs into architecture, requirement profiles, and technical solutions.
- Experience developing solutions for e-services, case flows, RPA, AI agents, etc.
- Knowledge and experience of project management and project methodology.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- Work within municipalities, regions, or other public operations.
- Modeling of information, processes, and systems.
- Development and programming, low-code development.
- Mobile working methods, architectures, and solutions.
- Work with integration platforms and APIs.
- Knowledge of information security and data protection.
We see that you have the ability to work both strategically and operationally, with a holistic perspective on how business, information, and technology interact.
You are a good communicator and have the ability to tailor ideas and concepts to the target audience, are analytical, and have the ability to switch between details and the big picture. You are creative, think new, and work agilely with good technical understanding of digital solutions, user-centered development, and business benefit in focus.
You will have a high degree of freedom, and we expect you to take responsibility and be self-reliant. You build networks, take initiative, and have a solution-oriented approach. You gain energy from finding and introducing improvements and new innovative working methods together with others. You are meticulous, structured, and care about maintaining high quality in what you deliver.

About the Workplace
The Digitalization Unit is located under the Health and Development Department. In close collaboration with our business departments, we are responsible for and drive the administration's digitalization issues as well as the development and management of business systems and workplaces.
In the Functional Support Administration, approximately 3,400 employees work together to create and develop even better support and service for people with disabilities. Our operations are within LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), social psychiatry, personal assistance, escorts, substitutes, and healthcare. Also, seriously ill children cared for at home are part of our mission.
