About the role

We are currently looking for a Buyer for our client in the automotive industry!

This role is perfect for you if you enjoy working close to the business, keeping track of flows, and ensuring that the right products are in the right place at the right time. You will play a key role in balancing purchasing, demand, and inventory – with a strong focus on creating efficient and sustainable purchasing flows.

This is a full-time consultancy position starting immediately and running until February 28th, with good prospects for extension.

About the position:

As a Buyer, you will work at the interface between purchasing, sales, and production. You will ensure that planning is coherent from forecast to delivery.

You will work closely with various parts of the organization, such as sales, production, and finance, acting as a bridge to create a holistic view of the business. The role also involves analyzing data, identifying risks and deviations, and proposing actions to optimize flows and achieve business goals.

In addition to operational tasks, you will contribute to developing and streamlining planning processes, making the role both strategic and analytical with a significant impact on business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and coordinate the monthly purchasing process from start to finish.
  • Compile and follow up on global sales forecasts together with regional teams.
  • Ensure that demand, production, and inventory are balanced – so that the right products are available at the right time.
  • Monitor and analyze order intake, backlog, inventory levels, and deliveries.
  • Identify risks, deviations, and opportunities for improvement, and proactively drive actions.
  • Prepare clear reports and decision-making materials to support management in strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with, among others, sales, production, and finance.

About you

To thrive in this role, you are someone who takes initiative, is flexible, and has an eye for detail. You have analytical skills and enjoy working structured with complex information. You are comfortable taking responsibility for your tasks, meeting deadlines, and thriving in an environment characterized by change and high tempo.

You find it easy to collaborate with different parts of the organization and are skilled at communicating clearly. At the same time, you are self-motivated and confident in driving your work forward, even when handling multiple touchpoints in an international and cross-functional environment.

Furthermore, you have a genuine interest in planning, analysis, and business flows, and you enjoy a role where you can combine structure with problem-solving. You handle business-critical information with high integrity and are eager to contribute to developing working methods and processes over time.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant university degree in fields such as engineering, economics, business administration, supply chain, or similar.
  • Approximately 2–5 years of experience in a similar role, e.g., within S&OP, purchasing, demand planning, or supply chain.
  • Good understanding of forecasting and the balance between supply and demand.
  • Experience working with analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
  • Very good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbal and written.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP/APO or equivalent).
  • Experience from an international and cross-functional environment.
