What you can expect from the role

As a Department Manager, you are responsible for one of the store's departments, such as Cars/Motorcycles/Car Care, Construction/Tools, or Leisure/Boats/Home/Office/Technology. This means you are the extended arm of the management team in the operations. Your responsibility involves ensuring that the department is always well-maintained, sales-oriented, and customer-ready with well-stocked and inviting shelves. You create inspiring seasonal displays, suggest products suitable for endcaps, and drive cross-selling. Order and tidiness are among our core values, and in this role, you ensure that signage and directions are clear and correct. You are also responsible for the department's inventory.

An important part of your role is to motivate and engage your colleagues and share your knowledge about the department's products. Together with your colleagues, you stock shelves and coach them to provide Biltema's customers with the best possible service. You are a team player who values close collaboration with other department managers, where you gladly exchange ideas and experiences. We appreciate that you have a special passion for your product areas and care about a safe environment for both customers and colleagues.

The position is a permanent employment starting with a 6-month probation period. The employment is full-time, 38.25 hours/week.

What we expect from you

We are looking for someone who has worked in retail for a few years and wants to take the next step in sales. You are a dedicated service-oriented person with the customer in focus. As a person, you enjoy taking responsibility and initiative and have a knack for sales. For you, it is natural to give that little extra to achieve results. You also have an eye for sales-oriented displays and efficient product placement. Challenges motivate you, and you thrive in a fast-paced work environment where new perspectives are sought.

It is important that you have an interest in Biltema's assortment and product areas. Personal suitability will be given great weight; as a manager, you must be communicative in both Swedish and English and possess the ability to convey the goal and the path to it to your colleagues. Therefore, previous experience in a leadership role is also meritorious.
