Our school area consists of four schools: Herrhagsskolan, Långsätterskolan, Nävekvarn School, and Buskhyttan School. Herrhagen is located on Arnö among villa housing with forest and nature close by. The school has a well-functioning student and safety team and high teacher qualification levels. We have approximately 320 students.

Buskhyttan is located in the middle of the community of Buskhyttan, 1.5 miles south of Nyköping. The school has 26 students from preschool class to year 3, as well as a leisure center department with space for all our students. Nävekvarn is located by the shore of Bråviken, approximately 2.5 miles from Nyköping. The school has over 60 students from preschool class to year 6. Job Responsibilities

Area A is now looking for a primary teacher in textile crafts at Herrhagsskolan. Your teaching should be characterized by good lesson structure, clear goal focus, an inclusive learning environment, and high student activity. You should have good leadership skills, high relational competence, and a desire to critically reflect on your own teaching. Together with colleagues, you should dare to challenge and develop the work for the students' best interests towards higher goal fulfillment.

You will primarily teach textile crafts but may also be asked to teach home economics. Additional qualifications in wood and metal crafts are meritorious. In Nyköping Municipality, everyone works with a language and knowledge-developing approach. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment for the students.

You will belong to the working group Sirius (years 4–6) but work closer to your colleagues in other performance subjects and especially closest to your colleagues in the craft subject in daily work. Together, you are responsible for planning, teaching, assessment, and parent contacts. To support your work with our students, we have our student health services with a counselor, special needs pedagogue, special needs teacher, and school nurse.

You are expected to participate in collegial learning, be part of the school's quality work, and actively participate in working group meetings.

Qualifications

• You have a primary teaching degree with a license for the craft subject.
• You have the ability to drive development forward through a language and knowledge-developing approach.
• You see school development and systematic quality work as an important process in your daily life and part of the school's and teacher's mission.
• You are a present and co-researching teacher who challenges and stimulates students to develop.
• A strong belief in teamwork and collegial learning as a success factor for pedagogical development is a given for you.

For the position, it is important that you have good cooperation skills, as your work requires continuous cooperation with other teachers and professionals within the school. It also presupposes that you have high relational competence to create safe groups and good cooperation with guardians.

The position presupposes that you master Swedish well in both speech and writing.
