Do you want to work close to production in a central role with your own responsibility? Do you enjoy solving technical problems and want to work both operationally and on larger technical development projects? Braviken Paper Mill is now looking for a System Engineer to join our IT/OT team.
Your next workplace
Braviken Paper Mill is one of the world's most production-efficient paper mills. Using advanced technology, we refine Swedish timber into innovative specialty papers used for magazines, books, direct marketing, and packaging. Here, you always have access to knowledgeable and engaged colleagues. The desire to do a good job and contribute to a greener future is clear. Nearly 400 employees work here. Our mill is located by the beautiful shores of Bråviken outside Norrköping.
Within the IT/OT group, we work with industrial control systems and IT across the entire mill. We are an engaged team that collaborates and supports each other.
Your future challenge
As a System Engineer at Braviken Paper Mill, you will work broadly with industrial control systems in close collaboration with experienced colleagues. The main task is to ensure the operation of the paper machines, energy and environmental facilities, pulp production, and water treatment through troubleshooting, maintenance, and development.
In close collaboration with operations, you will plan maintenance and development work, both for your own tasks and for subcontractors and consultants. It is a varied role focusing on both problem-solving and participating in larger technical development projects during major changes and upgrades.
To succeed in the role
We are looking for you who have education in automation, electrical engineering, or programming from a University College or University, or have acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience. We see that you have broad experience in your field and preferably experience with PCS7, DCS, and QCS. Experience from the process industry is a plus. We tailor the introduction to match your needs.
We place great importance on your personal qualities. We believe you see opportunities and are confident in your role. You enjoy solving problems, both individually and together with others. You have the ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Here, you will join a group that helps each other and looks forward to introducing you.
Since the role involves some on-call duties, you need a valid driver's license (Category B) and access to your own car to commute to and from the workplace outside bus hours.
We offer you
We offer you a developmental, varied, and free role with significant personal responsibility and involvement. Here, you will work in a high-tech environment. Our machines, systems, and manufacturing processes are technically complex, and you will work daily with active problem-solving.
We have an open and welcoming atmosphere permeated by our values: courage, engagement, and responsibility. We put you, the employee, in focus, meaning we place great importance on the introduction so that you settle into the role well. Holmen is characterized by internal mobility, as you, as an employee, have great opportunities for development within the company.

We make the forest grow and give
Holmen's operations are based on the power found in the forest. The trees that grow, the water that rushes in the rivers, and the wind that blows in the treetops. This is the core of Holmen, a business built on the forest's cycle and the renewable products we can create from it. Our business areas are Forest, Energy, Timber, Packaging, and Paper. We are 3,500 employees who, with courage, engagement, and responsibility, create a sustainable future.
