About the company
Nyköping Strand Educational Centre is part of Cedergrenska, a group operating a total of 50 schools. The company was founded in 2007, and since then, more schools have been gradually established from scratch or acquired. All schools operate independently under their own brands while receiving support from central functions. Cedergrenska has approximately 10,000 students and 1,700 employees. Most schools are located in Stockholm County, but the operations also extend to Växjö, Lund, Nyköping, Uppsala, Örebro, and Östersund. Within Cedergrenska, we work together to achieve our high goals, where collaboration is a key part of the mission. We learn from each other, develop together with the educator in focus, and strive for high-quality education for our students.
This position is based at Nyköping Strand Educational Centre. The school has a good reputation and operates several educational forms in parallel. We offer two national upper secondary programmes: the Restaurant and Food Programme and the Hotel and Tourism Programme. The adult education division has two tracks: Kitchen and Bakery & Confectionery. On our adapted upper secondary school, we offer the Hotel, Bakery, and Restaurant programme. In total, approximately 200 students study with us, and the small format allows for direct influence. The school is known for its openness, featuring lunch and à la carte service in teaching rooms where students can test their skills in a real restaurant environment. The school also runs its own bakery. Please read more on our website nsutbildning.se

At NSU, community and the close meeting between student and educator are in focus. We are now looking for you who want to make a real difference and become a key person in our pedagogical work.
As a special needs teacher with us, you will have a broad, varied, and responsible role. You will work both strategically and operationally to create the best conditions for our students' knowledge development and goal achievement.
Your responsibilities include:
As a special needs teacher, you are part of the school's Student Health Team and collaborate closely with school leadership, the SHT, mentors, educators, guardians, and authorities outside the school. The assignment also includes participating in the school's development work as well as joint development and quality assurance work.
The work requires that you are confident in your professional role, can collaborate effectively while driving projects independently, are proactive, and have a good ability to see opportunities in different situations.
Your profile
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with an additional qualification as a special needs teacher at the upper secondary level (preferably with specialization in language development or mathematics, but all directions are of interest).
You have a good attitude towards people, can build trust with young people, have good skills in planning and prioritizing, and are flexible in situations that require it. You are used to working independently and driving processes forward on your own. You have experience working with students in need of support, are structured, and confident in exercising authority regarding special support. At the same time, you are relationship-building, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating with colleagues, students, and guardians. It is an advantage if you have experience working with students with intellectual disabilities and/or students with diagnoses within NPD. You are well-grounded in clarifying pedagogy and have extensive experience working with special pedagogical support.
Good IT skills and experience with digital journal systems are required. Personal suitability is highly valued.
