We are looking for you who are interested in working as a personal assistant to a wheelchair-using guy in his 30s with a cerebral palsy (CP) injury. The role requires physical presence and practical support, but also a fingertip sensitivity for when to be helpful – and when to simply be there. You do not need prior experience, but you should be secure, sensitive, and have a good sense of privacy.

He lives in Gislaved with his family. There is a dog in the home. The shifts are scheduled mostly during daytime, weekdays. In the role of assistant, you will make a difference in his life. Are you a secure and relaxed person who wants to work close to another human being – without getting stuck in rigid routines and hospital environments? Then this might be right for you.

The work includes everything from care, intimate hygiene, transfers, use of various aids, training, help with activities, as well as accompanying him to daily activities, etc. He is functionally blind, seeing only a small percentage, and it will also be required that you, as a personal assistant, can provide oral visual interpretation (sight-reading). The workplace is in his home, at daily activities, and wherever he is otherwise located. Working hours are scheduled mostly during daytime, Monday-Friday.

You must be able to speak fluent Swedish as this is a job where good communication is very important.
