Some of our work takes place in an extended R&D setup, where we, as a team, take responsibility for all or part of the system development. This means you will work long-term on the same type of systems, influence technical choices, and actually see the results of your work over time.

About the role

As a Senior Embedded Developer with us, you work in systems where limited resources, real-time requirements, and hardware-near optimization are central parts of the solution.

You contribute not only to implementation, but also to:

• architecture and technical decision-making
• debugging and analysis in complex systems
• how systems are built, tested, and improved over time

You often work in teams from Knowit, where you are jointly responsible for a function or part of a system – rather than working in isolation on short-term assignments.

Technical context

You will work in environments such as:

• C/C++ in performance- and resource-critical systems
• Embedded Linux, RTOS, or bare-metal
• low-level development close to hardware (drivers, communication, optimization)
• systems where timing, determinism, and robustness are crucial

About you

We are looking for someone who is confident in their technical skills and experienced in working with embedded systems in practice.

You likely have:

• several years of experience in embedded development
• strong knowledge of C/C++
• experience with Linux, RTOS, or similar environments
• experience working close to hardware and understanding the system interaction

You are comfortable taking technical responsibility and contributing to decisions – not just implementation.
