We believe that progress and opportunities are best created together. Welcome to a place where collaboration makes a difference.
Do you want to help develop advanced technology that protects our fighter pilots and strengthens Sweden's defense capabilities? Here, you work on solutions that make a real difference, both for society and for the individual pilot who relies on your code in critical situations.
Your Role
As an FPGA Developer, you will become a key player in the development of our EW (Electronic Warfare) systems. These systems identify and analyze threats, provide pilots with crucial decision support, and can actively jam and neutralize incoming threats in real-time.
You will become part of an engaged, high-level technical team where you jointly develop hardware-centric solutions and embedded systems. We value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and an open climate, while also creating space for a healthy work-life balance.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop FPGA-based systems for advanced electronic warfare applications
- Test and verify functionality through simulation and on physical hardware
- Optimize designs with a focus on robustness, efficiency, and longevity
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems and develop sustainable solutions
- Participate in technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
- Work closely with other engineers in an agile and cross-functional team
Here you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while developing in your role, both technically and professionally.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who want to combine technical depth with a clear purpose. You are analytical, curious, and thrive on solving complex problems together with others.
You have:
- Relevant education in electronics, technical physics, computer science, or equivalent
- Experience in the RF domain, for example from the defense industry, telecommunications, or similar fields
- Experience with FPGA/ASIC design and programming
- Good knowledge of VHDL
- Experience with FPGA chips from AMD (Xilinx) or Intel/Altera
- Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
The following are considered meritorious:
- Knowledge in signal processing or radar systems
- Experience with hardware-centric programming and embedded systems
- Knowledge of Python, Java, and configuration management
As a person, you contribute with drive, responsibility, and a desire to continuously develop together with your team.
The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance procedures according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires a security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
What You Will Become Part Of
Discover endless possibilities. Take on challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your skills. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together we achieve the extraordinary, each bringing their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.
