Do you want to contribute to sustainable water and wastewater solutions in a growing Sundbyberg? We are now looking for a Customer Service Engineer who wants to help develop our operations.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Engineer (Water and Wastewater) at Sundbyberg Waste and Water, you will have a central role in handling new connections and customer cases related to water and sewage.

You will act as a key link between property owners, developers, and internal functions, ensuring correct connections, accurate billing, and clear communication regarding water and wastewater issues.

The role involves many contact points and requires you to manage several parallel cases in different stages – from the initial inquiry to the completed connection. You will also contribute to developing working methods and creating structure in a changing organization.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of Customer Service Engineer (Water and Wastewater), you will work with both technical and administrative tasks.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Informing property owners about infrastructure fees, calculations, and tariffs.
  • Handling consultations with property owners regarding the placement of connection points. Follow-up and documentation in the case management system (Lime).
  • Participating in customer, municipal coordination, construction, and pulse meetings.
  • Quality assurance and review of materials for dispatch, maps, etc.
  • Administrating construction water during establishment (connection point location, invoicing, etc.).
  • Advising on: connection questions (installation solutions, LTA, water meters, etc.), infrastructure fees, subdivisions, water and wastewater tariffs, compliance with ABVA, Water Services Act, and technical issues.
  • Setting up properties and customer information in billing and case management systems (Future and Lime).

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant education, such as a Water and Wastewater Engineer degree, a University College Diploma (YH) in Water and Wastewater, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in similar work.
  • Good knowledge of water and wastewater systems and general knowledge of water and wastewater legislation.
  • Good skills in MS Office.
  • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge of water and wastewater installations and technology.
  • Experience with systems such as EDP Future and Lime.
  • Experience with GIS or mapping tools.

Furthermore, you possess personal maturity and confidence, allowing you to handle various situations professionally and stand firm in decisions when necessary.

Sundbyberg Waste and Water AB (SAVAB) is a municipal company whose mission is to sustainably deliver drinking water, manage wastewater, and handle municipal waste. The company is also responsible for sustainably collecting waste from the city's residents and customers. Responsibilities include constructing, owning, managing, and maintaining all of the city's water and wastewater-related facilities, such as pumping stations, pipe networks, and stationary vacuum systems. The company has its own operations organization that performs everything from meter replacements to renovations in-house. The company thus plays a vital and active role in contributing to the sustainable development of the city.
