The short-term care unit provides short-term stays for children and young people, as well as respite care and escort services for children, young people, and adults. With us, you provide support and security to individuals in their daily lives.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for two support assistants for our short-term care unit, located in Unit Area 2. This recruitment concerns short-term positions for children, with scheduled working hours during days, evenings, and weekends.

In this role, you work closely with the operations and meet young people with challenging behaviors who need present, secure, and clear adults around them. The job requires you to handle complex and demanding situations while creating conditions for security, good relationships, and a stable structure in daily life.

As a support assistant, you are interested in a developing and varied job where we help create and maintain conditions for security, self-determination, quality of life, development, and joy for the users. Your role is to work supportively and motivationally together with the user so that they can manage their daily life as independently as possible. This is done using methods such as clarifying pedagogy, low-affective handling, and alternative communication. The work also includes personal care, social support, and other interventions designed according to each individual's needs and prerequisites.

The work also involves documenting, designing, and following up on implementation plans, contributing to a functional and stimulating daily life for the users, and delegated tasks from nurses, such as insulin and medication delegation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are educated as a nursing assistant (undersköterska) or have completed the Child and Youth Program with a focus on pedagogy.
• Have experience working with young people within HVB (residential care), SiS (Swedish National Board of Institutional Care), schools, social psychiatry, NPF diagnoses, or similar.
• Have good knowledge of intellectual disabilities, autism, and autism-like conditions.
• Have good communication skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• Have knowledge of digital platforms and experience with documentation.

Further education with a focus on functional support is a merit.

You have a calm and professional attitude, handle challenging situations in a low-affective manner, and can clearly communicate boundaries and limits with care and respect.

Your communication is clear, and you recognize the importance of relationship-building work with a pedagogical approach. You are consistent and secure in decided structures and routines, have good collaboration skills, and are responsible. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We would prefer that you have a B driving license.
