Description

Pihlskolan Gymnasium in Hällefors Municipality focuses on the students' future. Pihlskolan has a total of approximately 250 students distributed between the upper secondary school and adult education programs. The school offers five national upper secondary programs: Natural Science, Social Science, Technology, Industrial Technology, Restaurant and Food Management, as well as the Introductory Program. The school also hosts a local sports education program in ice hockey (LIU).

Pihlskolan also offers Komvux (Adult Education) at basic and upper secondary levels, adapted adult education, vocational adult education, Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), and Lärcentrum (Learning Center).

We are now looking for you who want to work as a substitute teacher with us during the autumn term. With our dedicated staff and our family-like atmosphere, we offer an environment where students have the best opportunities to succeed based on their prerequisites and ambition levels. Pihlskolan places great importance on ensuring that all students receive the support they need in the subject, in the class, and individually. The school also organizes study trips to various countries in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching according to current curricula and course plans.
• Assess and document students' knowledge development.
• Assign grades in accordance with current regulatory documents.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
• Adapt teaching based on students' individual needs and prerequisites.
• Participate in team meetings, subject conferences, and the school's development work.
• Collaborate with guardians, student health services, and external actors when necessary.
• Contribute to the school's values-based work and promote a good study environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed upper secondary school teacher with eligibility in Swedish, Rhetoric, and Communication.
• Good pedagogical skills.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Good digital competence and experience using digital learning tools.
• If no eligible applicants are found, the employer may consider hiring an unlicensed teacher deemed suitable for the work, temporarily in accordance with the Education Act.

Merits

Conditions

The position is a substitute role at 100% during the period August 11 – December 18, 2026. Employment type: Vacation service (ferietjänst).
