Arvidsjaur Municipality is looking for a Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Unit works on behalf of the municipalities of Arvidsjaur, Arjeplog, Sorsele, Vilhelmina, Åsele, Dorotea, and Malås, as well as the companies owned by these member municipalities.

The Procurement Unit is placed as a unit under the Finance Department and will consist of four procurement specialists, one procurement coordinator, and one unit manager. The unit handles all types of procurement, such as goods, services, IT, and construction contracts. The procurements vary in scope and complexity.

As a procurement specialist with us, you will work in a stimulating environment with many challenging and varied assignments. We are a great team that enjoys working together and supports each other in both major and minor matters.

Responsibilities

The role involves carrying out municipality-wide procurements with a focus on commercial viability and cost-effectiveness. You will work on several procurements simultaneously and support operations throughout the entire procurement process. You will also provide support, advice, and information to operations regarding procurement and purchasing matters. To simplify and streamline the purchasing process, you will contribute to the development of methods and working practices in the area. You will work in a team together with other procurement specialists, expert reference groups, and other specialist competencies. The role also includes ongoing communication and training initiatives within the purchasing area, and you will have many external and internal contacts with suppliers, customers, and partners. A professional approach, drive for change, strong analytical skills, and a sense for good business are highly valued in this position. Qualifications

To succeed in the role of procurement specialist with us, you are self-motivated and driven to deliver results that contribute to the organization achieving its goals. Furthermore, we look for someone with a structured working method, who is proactive and able to remain calm under pressure.

We are looking for you who:

• have a suitable post-secondary education at the university level or a suitable vocational higher education (YH) qualification, or alternatively work experience that the employer deems suitable.
• have good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• hold a valid B-category driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have experience:

• in LOU/LUF (Swedish Public Procurement Acts);
• in construction law AB/ABT/ABK and AMA;
• in politically governed organizations;
• in IT procurements.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability in this recruitment.
