About the position
We are looking for a passionate, engaged, and service-oriented person who wants to be responsible for Café Pampas. This involves, among other things, developing seasonal suggestions for good coffee breaks, as well as meals during vernissages and other evening programs at Havremagasinet.
As an employee here, you will become an important part of the development of Café Pampas. Sustainability is a key (main ingredient) in our operations, and we appreciate that you have a holistic perspective – you bring ideas (fresh ingredients, attractive setups), avoid food waste, and think of smart handling and storage.
During some weekends, you manage the café and reception, where you welcome visitors.
Responsibilities:
Together with the team, you plan and conceptualize the café to create a holistic experience for our visitors.
You will, among other things:
- Plan menus based on seasons, taking into account ingredients, food waste, and storage
- Help plan the offering for various types of events
- Create and serve coffee breaks and meals
- Welcome visitors and contribute to a pleasant atmosphere
- Daily maintenance and organization of the kitchen
- Ensure the café's ambiance and appearance
- Simple cash handling and purchasing
About you:
We are looking for you, aged 18+, with experience and education within the café and restaurant industry.
You have completed hygiene training related to the kitchen.

Havremagasinet is one of Sweden's largest art halls and offers a unique meeting place for contemporary art with exhibitions that highlight global issues with a strong anchor in Norrbotten.
We are engaged in themes such as climate, migration, and human rights, and collaborate with local cultural organizers such as ABF and Rädda Barnen.
On the ground floor, you will find Café Pampas, where we serve homemade coffee breaks in a relaxed environment. Public events and programs such as workshops, artist talks, concerts, Havrebio, etc., are also held in the café.

About the employment
The employment is a 1-year project position with a probationary period (1 month) with the possibility of extension.
Working hours
Working hours vary and are based on the art hall's opening hours. Weekend work, work during events, and programs are included.
Terms of employment
Fixed-term employment 60% – every other week schedule
Week 1 & 3: 4 days x 8 hours (32 hours/week).
Week 2 & 4: 2 days x 8 hours (16 hours/week).
Starting August 17, 2026, or as agreed.
Remuneration: Monthly salary + weekend supplements. According to collective agreement.
Varying working hours according to schedule.
