About the position

As a teacher at Glanshammar School, you will have a varied and developmental role where, in addition to your teaching, you support the operations wherever needs arise and teach in classes where there is a need. The work involves meeting students in different grades and subjects. You have a fixed schedule with teaching in Social Studies (SO) for grade 4 and are responsible for planning and implementation. The position also includes work in the after-school center (fritidshem), where you, together with engaged colleagues, participate in daily operations and contribute to creating a safe, educational, and meaningful day for the students.

About the workplace

Glanshammar School is one of Örebro Municipality's rural schools with approximately 340 students distributed from preschool class to grade 6. Approximately 40 staff members work here. The school is located in idyllic surroundings in Glanshammar, close to forests and fields, about 1.5 miles east of Örebro. It takes about 25 minutes to reach the school by county bus. There is also the option to cycle to the location on safe cycle paths.

Qualifications

As a teacher, you have good collaboration skills and are easy to form relationships with. You treat students, guardians, and colleagues in a professional, secure, and respectful manner. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and can adapt your communication to the recipient. You also have the ability to document according to the organization's requirements in the systems used.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach Social Studies (SO), or alternatively, a degree that qualifies for teacher certification.

Merits:

• Experience working in a school.
• Knowledge of Guided Interaction (ICDP).
• Knowledge of Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools (IBIS).
