About the position

The position involves teaching in physical education and one additional subject. You will be part of a work team where you are expected to contribute to the team's development by actively participating in conferences and the group's competence development. During the next school year, we will focus on language to make teaching accessible to all students.

Your teaching is based on the requirements of the steering documents regarding planning, implementation, follow-up, and development. In addition to regular teaching and mentoring, you are expected, together with other staff, to focus on and contribute to school development to support all students' right to a safe and developmental school experience. You have a student focus and believe in every student's will and ability to develop, and you vary your teaching according to the students' needs.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching.
• Use methods and approaches that lead to student development and the best possible goal achievement.
• Exercise mentoring/perform homeroom teacher duties.
• Support students' social development.
• Create a good environment for learning.
• Document in the existing operational systems.

About the workplace

Odenskolan is a grades F-9 school located in Odensbacken. Approximately 300 students, from preschool class to grade 9, study at the school today. Odensbacken is located about 2.5 miles from Örebro with good bus connections.

Within the Preschool and Primary School Administration, approximately 4,530 employees work. We meet young people from Örebro from their first day in preschool to their last day in primary school.

Qualifications

You take responsibility for your tasks and can communicate clearly. It is important that you collaborate and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you are a pedagogical leader in the classroom and, through your engagement, contribute to the student's knowledge-based and social development.

Requirements:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach physical education and health, as well as an additional subject for grades 7-9, or alternatively, a degree that qualifies for certification.

Meritorious:

• Experience working as a PE teacher.
• Knowledge of language- and knowledge-developing working methods.

Employment type: Permanent position

Full-time: 100%

Start date: August 12, 2026, or by agreement

Teacher certification with stated eligibility must be attached to the application, or alternatively, a degree certificate that qualifies for certification.
